17-23 februari genomfördes tävlingen FindingGLAMs Challenge över hela världen. Det var avslutningen på det längre projektet FindingGLAMs, som har gått ut på att kartlägga och samla data om GLAM-institutioner världen över till databasen Wikidata. GLAM står för galleries, libraries, archives and museums, och översätts ungefär till konsthallar, bibliotek, arkiv och museer.
Glädjande nog kan vi berätta att 90 personer från olika delar av världen registrerade sig för tävlingen och nu har vi börjat sammanställa resultaten.
Vi firar nu att nästan 8 000 Wikidata-objekt redigerades under den gångna veckan! Det handlar om allt från att användare har lagt till objekt som inte fanns innan till att lägga till bilder, sätta ut den rätta adressen, klassa objekten under rätt kategori eller att lägga till identifikationsnummer i andra databaser där objekten också finns. Hela 337 helt nya GLAM-objekt finns numera i databasen, tack vare FindingGLAMs Challenge!
Precis som på alla andra Wikimediaplattformar ska såklart objekten i Wikidata också ha källor. Därför gavs extra poäng just om de tävlande la till såna. Just nu håller vi på att gå igenom all statistik och hitta vår vinnare. Vi ser fram emot att snart dela med oss av den fullständiga sammanfattningen om hur det har gått!

FindingGLAMs Challenge – did we find anything?
17-23 February, the global FindingGLAMs Challenge took place. It was the grand finale of the FindingGLAMs Project with the aim of mapping and collecting data about galleries, libraries, archives and museums all around the world and collect them to the Wikidata database.
We are thrilled to announce that 90 participants from all over the globe signed up for the challenge, and we are just starting to conclude the results.
We are celebrating the fact that nearly 8,000 Wikidata objects were edited during the week of the challenge! Users have done everything from adding pictures or addresses to categorizing the objects and adding identification numbers to the objects in other databases. 337 entirely new GLAM objects are added to the database, thanks to the FindingGLAMs Challenge!
Just as on any Wikimedia platform, the objects should of course have sources to back them up. Therefore, extra credits were given to the competitors adding those. We are currently going through all the figures to find our champion. We look forward to sharing the challenge compilation with all of you!
